Samsung is expanding its EHS heat pump line with the EHS Mono R290 and EHS R290 Pump, designed for residential heating. Available in 5, 8, 12, and 16 kW capacities, these new models use R290 refrigerant, which has a significantly lower global warming potential (GWP) of only 3. Both models consistently provide hot water up to 75°C, making them suitable replacements for older heating systems. Their larger heat transfer area ensures reliable heating performance, even in temperatures as low as -10°C
- The EHS Mono R290 Pump includes hydraulic components such as the pump and expansion tank, along with a control kit and Wi-Fi kit. This streamlines installation and servicing while minimizing required indoor space. Additionally, it is compatible with SmartThings and EHS cloud services for enhanced connectivity
- The EHS Mono R290 and EHS Mono R290 Pump operate quietly, with noise levels as low as 35 d(BA) thanks to innovative noise-reducing technologies and a 4-step Quiet Mode. The outdoor units feature a double-layered sound insulation system with a patented Groove Grid Felt design, effectively reducing noise from compression parts and vibrations
- A significant number of older European homes still rely on radiators that need hot water temperatures of 65°C or more for effective heating. The new Samsung EHS Mono R290 and EHS Mono R290 Pump can consistently deliver hot water up to 75°C, making them ideal replacements for gas boilers in these older residences.
- The EHS Mono R290 and EHS Mono Pump utilize R290 refrigerant, which has a significantly lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) of only 3, compared to the more commonly used R32. By using R290, Samsung offers a more environmentally friendly solution for residential homes. The internal components of these units have been modified to accommodate R290 and ensure safe separation from the rest of the system
